Dr. Ehiedu Goodluck Iweriebor to join the Panel Discussion on Dangote, Oil and Power in Nigeria, November 2, 2025

Dr. Ehiedu Goodluck Iweriebor is an intellectual historian and development strategist educated at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and Columbia University, New York, USA. His scholarship focuses on the history of ideas, African radicalism, Pan-Africanism, nationalism, and the political and economic development of Africa. His current research explores innovative, homegrown responses to Africa’s economic challenges, including the rise of new technological and industrial sectors across the continent.
He has taught at several leading institutions, including the University of Ilorin (Nigeria), Rutgers University (New Jersey), and Manhattanville College (New York), where he was the pioneer chair of African Studies. At Hunter College, New York, he rose to the rank of Full Professor and chaired the Department of Africana, Puerto Rican, and Latino Studies for twelve years.
Dr. Iweriebor is the author of several influential works, including Radical Politics in Nigeria: The Significance of the Zikist Movement, 1945–1950, The Age of Neo-Colonialism in Africa, and Dangote and Pan-African Economic Transformation. His ideas have shaped thinking on Africa’s political and technological advancement. He co-designed a training curriculum for Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and co-founded the Pan-African Institute for Global Affairs and Strategy (PAIGAS) in Abuja, contributing to its intellectual framework.
