Re - President Trump’s tete a tete with President Ramaphosa

True: He has so much waiting for him on his plate.

Question : How is Pope Leo XIV going to weigh in on this?

Of late, tariff’s greatest President Trump has been very worried about BRICS

gathering steam as an alternative to the mighty dollar.

It’s my hunch that he wants to soften up Ramaphosa

get him and India off the China, Russia, Iran bandwagon

(China is South Africa’s number one trade partner)

It has started with a semi-charm offensive but

could deteriorate to his trademark threats, bombast and bluster.

Some story-telling to be done.

Firstly,

after all the evil things that the evil imagination can imagine,

there's no gainsaying how firmly Joe Biden stood here, in the movie

Joe Biden vs Apartheid South Africa

About the excruciatingly painful, outstanding issue of land redistribution - with 84% of Papa’s Land still miraculously in the hands of White South Africans and Black South Africa’s patience running thin and fraying at the seams, let's hope that the nation is eventually not plunged irreversibly into chaos and anarchy about this vexing  problem of redistribution, that in exasperation,  due to “the law’s delay”, overnight, the warriors and war veterans do not take the law into their own hands.

You remember ,

long gone was the Lancaster House Agreement

when Mugabe’s war veterans started getting a little impatient

and started taking over some of the White farms

with sanctions and boycotts etc

the Zimbabwe dollar which

in 1981 was going at the exchange rate of

1 Zimbabwe dollar = $US 1,

within a few months plunged to

$US 1 : 1, 000, 000 Zimbabwe dollars…

But South Africa and their rand is another kettle of fish.

#Six days ago @Democracy Now the general public was intimated about South Africa’s  and Trump’s so called “fake refugees”

No paradox here even if his intention is to illustrate, at least to his base ( as he warms up his base - he Trumpy the Mighty defender of White Privilege, White Rights, and against any discrimination of people of his colour or any colour - and of course 101% against any hooliganism that smells like anti-Semitism,

that South Africa must rid itself of a double standard by first cleaning up its own backyard before claiming any higher moral ground by taking Israel to the ICC for crimes against humanity

To the extent that he has succeeded in at least casting some doubt on South Africa’s racial integrity about this matter of equality

secondly,

we must congratulate Trump for his masterful choreography

of the event, for his congeniality

and most surprisingly, for a change

for being at his very best behaviour

and bringing the meeting to an amicable

conclusion, based on compromise and mutual

respect, even if a little short of what usually transpires

at the Thai massage parlour as a “Happy Ending !”

Before Apartheid was placed under arrest

if you wanna talk about background or black-ground:

Consider : Once upon a time in South Africa

there was the PAC (Pan African Congress)

whose motto was : “One settler, one bullet”

Of course,

if instead of Madiba Nelson Mandela or Cyril Ramaphosa

Trump had met radical son of the soil Julius Malema

the militant no nonsense leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters

to iron things out, in the name of spontaneous combustion

“BLACK is BLACK

I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK-

ALL Of IT ! "

Amandla !

a Trump - Malema encounter in the Oval Office

would have ended in complete & total disaster !

Amandla !

So, it’s Kudos to South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa

for not falling into “a Zelensky moment” -

unlike the warmongering Ukrainian comedian-clown-turned-President

a president who in my opinion would have been far better off playing

Manuel in Fawlty Towers, than playing eternal war president  -

much better for the Ukrainian people who have now lost countless

thousands of lives because their former-comedian-turned-president-of-the-Ukrainian-War Cabinet

wants to recover every inch - and let's be real here :

How does he dream of recovering every inch

of that which God did not give to him

from the very beginning ?

He would like Uncle Sam to go and fight for him.

He obviously mis-underestimates

the destructive power of nuclear bombs

But back to reality and realpolitik

Our Mandela-trained President Cyril Ramaphosa

was too diplomatically dexterous to fall

into the kind of boobytrap, the Zelensky moment

that Zelensky/ little hitler fell into,

nor was there a little shout & shootout with JD Vance.

Anyway, some are praising Ramphosa.

Perhaps I'll get myself to watch it. The thought of watching it is not pleasant though.

Thanks
