*IBADAN COUNCIL OF ULAMA TURBANS DISTINGUISHED PROF. AMIDU SANNI AS WAZIRI KULIYYAH OF IBADAN LAND*

The Council of Ulama, Ibadan, Oyo State has conferred on the Distinguished Professor Amidu Sanni, the title of *WAZIRI OF IBADAN LAND*

The title was conferred on the immediate past Chief Imam and Chairman, Imam-in-Council, Lagos State University Muslim Community (LASUMUC) on Sunday, 28th December 2025 in Ibadan, Oyo State by the Jurisconsult of Yorubaland.

The great honour is equivalent to that of Prime Minister of scholars of Ibadan Metropolis. Part of his responsibilities as the Waziri includes attending to intellectual and academic matters in Arabic and Islamic affairs of the land and intercommunal relations. Baraka llahu fihi.
