This is very funny indeed, precisely because it sounds like some uncontrollably horny professor’s preamble to his own self-defence standing on his two legs there in the dock charged with rampant sexual sampling of his female students and begging please for understanding and some sympathy for his being more libidinally/ sexually super-charged than others of the same male species, even from his student days, that it was God and nature that made him like that:
Eloquent Professor addressing the Judge, pleading for understanding and leniency in the matter, especially if the judge, a fellow human being is a man (and once upon a time (in his youthful days) also sowed his royal oats:
“My lord, as you may well be aware, if I may quote from some reliable authorities,
“It is precisely because psychoanalytically academics are among those with high libidinal flow (most of which is sublimated into academic work) that they are academics and prime suspects for harassment” etc.

Lord Obododimma,
That was useful, practical advice from you; let’s hope that they take it to heart.
In a new Naija system of law and order, crime and punishment, Justice should prevail.
In an earlier discussion, it was pointed out that it’s all about power relations, I guess, not only in colleges but also in offices and other workplaces.
“avoidance is the best therapy”?
You do sound a little like St. Paul (“better it is to marry than to burn”) although I’m still unsure as to whether he meant better it is to marry than to burn with an unassuaged passion or unrepentant, to burn later on in the eternally dark fires of hell. So, the kindly advice to the predatory Christian professors is that they marry if they are not already married – and if they are already married – “God helps those who help themselves”, that they assist themselves in overcoming the temptations in tune with their daily prayer, “and lead us not into temptation“, because I do suppose that some of the female students ( vixens) are foxy in the extreme and can use their XXXs and even their weaknesses as a sexual charm, in which case the “high libidinal flow” could cause Professor X’s knees to be weak on the seat - as in “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak…”
Well, what do you think happens next when she starts crying on her professor’s shoulder?
He tries to comfort her, to calm her down. The devil tells him, “Put your arms around her. Go on. Do it.” Not exactly a case of sexual harassment…
Fact is that avoidance itself is a problem – as OAA would say, “psychologically speaking” and in this case according to the clinical use of the term avoidance therapy is no therapy at all, it only causes greater stress in the already over-stressed system ( the “libidinal flow”) constantly in need of release, and therefore the constant need of the desirable object…
Again, according to Matthew (maybe, too much to ask of a Nigerian professor) “there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven” – so, voluntary eunuchism for the sake of Heaven is possible but ( I assume) a difficult solution to the problem of the average rampaging professor.
Among those who could find it impossible to impose such self-restraint on themselves, I suppose that there could be one or two who in good conscience would be willing to impose castration.
In my humble opinion, even the sin of suicide would not be a more radical solution.
Needless to add that if the judge in question (the presiding judge) should happen to be the father of the female student that has been raped/ violated by the horny professor, he should, of course, expect the maximum punishment, maybe even the death penalty (what Papa Chidi could refer to as “poetic justice” ….
Are there no horny, predatory female professors?

Dear Lord Obododimma,
Like it or like it not, from Paul’s point of view, marrying in order not to burn is avoidance of sin (fornication)
After my full immersion experience in Umuahia in June 1981, Heaven forbid that I should have any “beef” or even goat head soup with any but the so-called "Christian" lecturers. The unbaptised may well wonder how come I don’t have any beef with Nigeria’s wonderful Muslim professors and lecturers? The point is that in that BBC Documentary “Sex for grades” no Muslim lecturer is under the radar, rather, it’s a disgusting professor who also happens to be a pastor, as he self-confesses to his seventeen-year-old female victim and prays with her “ in Jesus’ name” before he proposes that he starts some regular extra-marital sex with her, assuring her that her parents will not know, and that from that moment on what happens between them will be a holy secret and nobody’s business but their own. I have not watched the documentary beyond that point. Assuredly, the Pastor-Professor must be well-acquainted with all the stuff from St. Paul the woman-hater and what Jesus is reported to have said in the Gospel according to Matthew, about men becoming eunuchs “for the sake of Heaven”. Not really such a big deal. In classical Hinduism the student adept takes a voluntary vow of brahmacharya ( which does not mean that young Hindu men who are under no such obligations, do not invade the red-light district in what was old Bombay, as they did in the late September of 1977 when I was taken for some sight-seeing there ( after three months of brahmacharya, here. The whole place was dripping – vaporised with the scent of semen)
Since there is no monkhood in Islam, there is no room or place for the kind of hypocrisy and scandals about e.g. paedophile priests, perverts, or their sexual slavery of nuns, not to mention sexual predators of the criminal professorial class.
Advantage: There is no monkery in Islam
Naija educational staff should take your advice to heart - starting with your first commandment:
“Don’t stay too long in your office. Don't turn your office to your bedroom if you are a lecturer”
In other words, “See me in the office!” should not be a coded expression for a tryst . And if “See me in the office” is innocent and well-intentioned, there’s no telling what happens after the female student starts crying on the professor’s shoulder. If the professor happens to be a pastor it should certainly be time for him to say, “ Get thee behind me Satan!” or time for him to run because Satan will begin to whisper indecent suggestions in his ear, and even the fallen angels do not need too much encouragement to take the wrong direction. The experienced man knows that he cannot start dancing near a fire without catching fire and that “one thing leads to another”; putting his arms around her could lead to spontaneous combustion – like soaking yourself with kerosene and dancing near the fire or her perfume.
Apart from the office venue, it’s quite possible that female student and male teacher meet at a dance. Perhaps, nothing wrong with dancing cheek to cheek
The female student sometimes has to sing this song: Mister, please go easy with me
Before entering the classroom full of alluring female students, the wise Muslim teacher says, audhu billahi minash shaitanir rajim…
Obododimma.
