Dear All:

On behalf of my wife, Prisca and our children, I wish to thank you members of the USA-Africa Dialogue forum for your effusive felicitations and prayers for the Iheduru family in celebration of our children's recent academic accomplishments. Frankly, I was embarrassed initially that Oga Falola would publicize the news I had sent him privately. Your reactions overwhelmed me with emotions. The US-Africa Dialogue forum has truly become family where we share in one another's joys and sorrows in the true African spirit. Thank you!

The graduation ceremonies went very well, and we had great fun. I must, however, inform Oga TF that my daughter, who's only 25 years old, reported me to her friends and they all took umbrage at the fact that my "Nigerian friend" had broadcast on the internet that she was single! Hopefully, one of these days they'll appreciate that Oga TF actually meant well for the young doctor

Attached please find one photo from the event.

Again, thank you all for your kind words. May your children also be a source of joy in your respective families.

Regards.

Dear Brother Okey:

Again, double CONGRATULATIONS to your entire family on the splendid academic and professional

achievements of the two distinguished "children" of yours (the Lawyer and the Doctor)!

In fact, what SIR Toyin failed to mention in his advertisement is that your daughter (the Doctor) also

has dimples as well as a great smile (as shown in the photo you provided) in addition to the obviously

hidden "Mandela dimple" that he (SIR Toyin) bragged about.

Well, the good news is that I have relayed the good news from SIR Toyin -- plus yours-- to our

extended family in and outside Ghana to see which family member may qualify as a suitor for

your accomplished daughter (the Doctor), who is reported to be single. We have a shy Dental

Surgeon, trained at University of Sydney, Australia, an Economist, and some other professionals

in the family.

In the interest of Pan-Africanism and ECOWAS regional politics, I plan to push the project, which

was started and advertised widely in good faith by SIR Toyin. We may become neighboring In-Laws;

who knows!

Again, CONGRATULATIONS, future-in-law Okey.

A.B. Assensoh.

Okey:

Congratulations once again on the graduation of your doctor-daughter Ude...the picture shows her to be lovely like her mother....hmmm..

My last child and third daughter graduates too from NYU Graduate School next week in Social Journalism.  Like Ude, she is a "spinster" too...at least TF did not use that archaic term for "single" Ude...she can take that comfort.

And there you have it!
