i wonder if this is true everywhere? certainly in the u.s. the kennedys had their offshoots and offshoots, and bushes and even rockefellers as famous family, and cheney, i don't know, zillions.

why name recognition matters so much i don't know.

in african circles we are also seeing autocrats appointing their children or raising them with that expectation--biya and nguema. in cuba it was the brother. gabon with bongo; kabila in drc.

how about in asia? even marcos's kid gets elected.

come to think of it, it is like kings handing down the thrown to their heirs.

why is that?

I am wondering it this is not because true public service or business in the service of the public is disappearing, especially in Africa these years.Conflicts of interest arise everywhere even in the West too. Covid-19 and the vaccine business have taught us some lessons in that matter.

So the privileged want to keep their enjoyed privileges to their heirs and probably help erase or hide the wrongs they have done during their time.
