Dear Chidi,
It seems to me that much of your poetry has an axe to grind with the
“Alleluia assemblies” and I observe less venom being poured on the
Allahluia Boko Haramies.
Dear keyboard crusader, I suppose that it all comes under the category
of “Jihad of the pen” ?
Otherwise , I'm more familiar with the spelling Hallelujah – hallel -
u-jah from the root hallel which means Praise – like the psalms
composed by David HaMelech...

I must commend you for these memorable lines though :
“supplications
For paradise
on this planet. “
and around Xmas time,
“ Peace on Earth and goodwill to all men “
the time of the year when some of the Boko Haram Brethren delight in
wiping out their Christian Brethren – and then of course - they call
him “Iblis” “Shaitan “ and after they have done their evil deeds ,
it's
“tongue-lashing
of Lucifer
For most
misfortunes.”
Indeed Chidi what kind of poetry is it that does not make visible,
some luminous, memorable lines?
Looking forward to some kinder words from you about well-meaning
congregations and of course more opprobrium for the terrorist
devils...
Poetry too should not be afraid to call a spade by its proper name,
Yours truly,
