We should note that seven of the eleven candidates vying to become the next British Prime Minister took cocaine or
Marijuana at some point. One of the leading contenders took cocaine regularly. If he were Black he would have been thrown in jail. Some of these countries use the jails for population control, to reduce certain voting constituencies, or for profiteering from
minorities. What percentage of the NZ prison population is Maori?

51% Maori among prisoners bu† 31% are pakeha or white and that is also a big problem for poor whites. Even if you do not enjoy ganja nor need it for medication, do not send poor people to jail for something much safer than tobacco and alcohol. Let your people go, says the new Moses.

........ and that is out of a population of less than 800,000 existing survivors of previous decimations.
I used the  government statistics of the
Maori population as a guideline.
A beautiful, really democratic, fair minded and just NewZealand would have yielded more palatable statistics.

Yes, 16% of the population make up 51% of the prisoners, almost identical to the proportion of African Americans in US prisons.
