By the way, I appreciate your unique use of “smokes” in that poem. It’s typical that the big time gradgrindian Big English grammarians should want to deprive you of your poetic freedom and your poetic licence in order to “correct”, to singularize those several atrocities with smoke curling up to the high heavens as smoke curling up from sacrifices of burnt flesh, as if a pleasing aroma to the nostrils of the Almighty not “Then the sudden smell of burning flesh” as lamented in Lady Day’s “Strange Fruit” and the smell of burning Palestinian flesh from Israel’s barbaric bombardment of besieged Gaza ,the poor Palestinian people boxed in as in Auschwitz…

What about God's Enemies?
With “The Fall of Man” as the putative starting point, it’s true what you say, Chidi, that “It is not only the Palestinians that are falling, the Israelis and we, the humanists are also falling” and it’s also true that we are now living in the last days and witnessing the ongoing general collapse of the so-called Judeo-Christian Civilisation. What else to expect, given that vegetarians like GBS (“I do not want to make my stomach a graveyard of dead animals.”) are the people who eat only vegetables whereas these days, some so-called kosher humanitarians eat their fellow human beings raw , or prefer to just kill them and let their unburied corpses corrupt the air and that’s what they are busy doing, “They are turning the planet, into a cemetery”
Fact is that we are getting close to the final showdown, that much awaited event with their nuclear bombs on one side, hoping that God is on their side. This time, heading for a nuclear holocaust, we will soon see on whose side God my Lord God is. We are much closer to Armageddon than Benjamin Netanyahu thinks. He probably thinks that short of Divine Intervention from above, the unsaved Sleepy Joe Biden or ” Iron Dome” is going to save him.
Iron Dome can’t even save Dimona from taking a hit, and when the other big guns enter the fray that’s when the shit is really going to hit the fan , just wait and see, Mr. Bibi….
Not funny : Israel : Ethnic Cleansing
The best word that I can find for what I want to say, is TAGHUT, and with that word in mind, let me ask you, in your opinion in terms of the Israel - Palestine issue, from the genocidal armies of Joshua , through The Nakba, to 20th -21st century Ethnic cleansing + Apartheid and settler colonisation etc. who do think is the oppressor, Israel or the Palestinians?
And right now with the ongoing siege and non-stop barbaric bombardment and other atrocities being perpetrated on tiny Gaza, of the two ( Israel and the Palestinians) which do you think is David, and which or who do you think is Goliath, if not Israel?

Dear Amnesty Member,
I, like you, have been watching in horror and dread as unspeakable violence escalates in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
This weekend’s attacks began with Hamas firing rockets and sending armed groups into southern Israel. Hundreds of Israeli civilians have been killed and thousands injured since Saturday by Palestinian armed groups. The Israeli military has confirmed that Israeli civilians — including children and the elderly — as well as soldiers, have been abducted by Palestinian armed groups and taken hostage.
The Israeli military’s retaliatory attacks on Gaza have targeted civilian infrastructure and have killed hundreds of Palestinians, including children, injured thousands, and displaced many more. The Israeli government has halted the supply of electricity and is blocking food and fuel from entry into Gaza, building on an unlawful sixteen year air, land, and sea blockade.
What’s worse, I fear this crisis has only just begun. We must stay vigilant.
Let’s be clear: deliberately targeting civilians; carrying out disproportionate attacks; and indiscriminate attacks that kill or injure civilians are war crimes.
We mourn this weekend’s violence and everything that has led to it.
As human rights activists, we must urgently call on all parties to protect civilians in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories — and on the international community to urgently take action to prevent further civilian bloodshed.
When a human rights violation — any type, anywhere, and by anyone — is being committed, it is our job to hold those responsible accountable. And I am counting on each of you to stand with us as a beacon in these moments.
Our teams will continue to monitor and report on this fluid and changing situation. We will report back to you with updates on our work, as well as opportunities to take action.
