With regard to the above excerpt quoted from Pope Francis’ Christmas Message, I can’t help thinking of the many discussions and debates in this forum, with reference to the starvation suffered by the Igbo people, during the later stages of the Biafra War of Independence
The Archbishop of Canterbury’s Christmas Message for 2022 also shows some courageous moral leadership and some spunk by for example criticising the immoral, inhumane, uncharitable, unchristian, and in my view, the very uncommonwealth idea of deporting asylum seekers to Rwanda
So we have the Archbishop of Canterbury in sync with the Former Archbishop of York who is also an ardent critic of the UK’s deportation to Rwanda policy
