Coalition of Northern Groups have taken a stand on the state of the nation in view of developments in Nigeria's Southeast. They've written a letter herewith being shared as attached. Let grits speak to both sides in a way as to eschew violence we shall all fall victims of.
Prof:
Why is this letter targeted only against the Igbo and Biafra?
We must use all our influence to tell the Coalition of Northern Groups that peace must be pursued at all cost, and that such an anti-Igbo statement may lead to street violence. Street violence—in organized and disorganized mobs—will lead to the death of millions of innocent lives. We saw this in Rwanda where cutlasses were used to kill thousands of innocent people.
