Position: SAP MM Functional Consultant

Work Location: Dallas, TX

Job Summary:

 

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Procurement and Source-to-Pay processes. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, procurement teams, and technical partners to design, configure, and support SAP MM solutions that align with business needs and industry best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support SAP MM Procurement processes, including:
• Purchase Requisitions (PR)
• Purchase Orders (PO)
• Contracts, Scheduling Agreements
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs and SAP configurations.
• Configure SAP MM components such as:
• Purchasing document types
• Release strategies
• Pricing procedures
• Account determination
• Work with business users to optimize Source-to-Pay (S2P / P2P) workflows.
• Support procurement integrations with related SAP modules:
• FI (GR/IR, Invoice Verification)
• WM / IM / SD / PP as applicable
• Participate in UAT, defect resolution, and go-live support.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting for MM-related issues.
• Create and maintain functional documentation:
• Business Process Flows
• Functional Specifications
• Configuration and Test Scripts
• Collaborate with technical (ABAP) teams for enhancements and reports.
• Support data migration and master data activities (Materials, Vendors, Pricing).

 

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP MM experience with strong focus on Procurement.
• Deep understanding of:
• Purchasing processes
• Inventory Management
• GR/IR and Invoice Verification
• Experience working in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments.
• Strong functional knowledge of:
• Material Master
• Vendor Master
• Purchasing Info Records
• Contracts and Source Lists
• Experience supporting end users and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in energy, oil & gas, refining, terminals, or logistics environments.
• Experience with Source-to-Pay transformations.
• Exposure to SAP Ariba or third-party procurement platforms.
• S/4HANA migration or implementation experience.
