Location : Washington DC (hybrid)

 

Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst/Data Analyst with a strong background in data engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in data analysis and will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of data analysis techniques and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs.
Design and implement data models and data pipelines to facilitate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) stakeholders.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize data and communicate findings to Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing processes.
Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve business processes and outcomes.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and engineering

Mandatory Skills:
Proven experience in data analysis with a strong focus on data engineering
Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, or R

Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power Bl, or similar.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex data insights to non-
technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (eg., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and techniques.
Knowledge of data governance and data management best practices.
Experience in Agile methodologies and project management.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
7-10 years of relevant experience in data analysis and engineering.
Certifications in data analysis or related fields (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional
(CBAP), Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
