Title: Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Architect

Location: Raritan, NJ

Duration: 12 months +

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, and Databricks to design and implement enterprise-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in architecture, development, platform setup, infrastructure configuration, and enterprise data integration.

As Microsoft Fabric is a relatively new platform, candidates with a strong background in Azure Data Engineering and Databricks, along with experience implementing Microsoft Fabric solutions, are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise-scale data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, and Databricks.
Architect and develop scalable ETL/ELT solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, SQL, Delta Lake, and Microsoft Fabric.
Build and optimize Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, Semantic Models, and Power BI solutions.
Design secure data integration frameworks connecting SAP, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, ADLS Gen2, REST APIs, SharePoint, Salesforce, and other enterprise applications.
Configure platform connectivity, security, and authentication using Microsoft Entra ID, Service Principals, Managed Identity, OAuth, On-premises Data Gateway, Private Endpoints, and Azure Networking.
Design enterprise data models, Lakehouse/Medallion architecture, governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
Lead Microsoft Fabric platform setup, including workspace architecture, capacity planning, governance, monitoring, and administration.
Integrate Microsoft Fabric with Azure Data Factory, Azure Key Vault, Azure Functions, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps, and related Azure services.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, deployment automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Optimize platform performance, scalability, security, and cost while troubleshooting complex integration and connectivity issues.
Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and establish architecture and development best practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10–15 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Cloud Data Platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, and SQL.
Experience working with diverse enterprise data sources, including SAP, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, REST APIs, and cloud/on-premises systems.
Expertise in cloud architecture, enterprise integration, security, networking, and data governance.
Experience implementing CI/CD, DevOps, and enterprise-scale data platform solutions.
