We currently offer tools covering a variety of content areas including revenue cycle management, surgery, supply chain management, nursing, quality, ED, and physician performance.
Position Info: The senior leader will lead vision development, development strategy and launch execution for both new business intelligence related products and module extensions of the existing product portfolio. This will require working across the organization with the syndicated research, marketing development and engineering, delivery and implementation teams, and the product management and new product development teams. The objective is to ensure our product portfolio continues to innovate and evolve to lead the market in the sectors we serve. It is envisaged that the senior leader will work with a team of product managers who are responsible for gathering and prioritizing market and customer requirements, defining the vision for the product portfolio, crafting the product roadmaps, and overseeing the products throughout the design, development and release lifecycle. Specific responsibilities include: • Work with the Business Intelligence Leadership Team to define the strategy for product portfolio strategy and the associated product roadmaps. • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product; prepare the organization for sales, development and implementation of that program vision • Direct the product portfolio management and commercialization process, working with the product management teams and the marketing teams while collaborating closely with both the development and sustain engineering teams • Serve on, and work closely with, the Business Intelligence Executive Team currently comprised of the CEO and senior-most leaders across the Business Intelligence organization. • This individual will effectively partner with the rest of the executive team and be a key contributor in growing this part of the organization to meet market needs. • Assist the marketing team with differentiating our product from competition Reporting Relationship The senior leader will report to the Executive Director in Business Intelligence with extensive interaction with the CEO and the rest of the Business Intelligence Executive Team.
Qualifications: • Minimum 7-10 years experience in an executive level product development, product management or software development or implementation role, preferably in business intelligence and/or a commercial software product/service company. Experience in hosted environments a plus. • Product management and/or software operations experience in the health care industry is preferred • People Management: A successful track record as a leader, developer and manager of people and talent; demonstrated experience to attract, retain and develop strong talent and build a positive organizational and team culture • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, which will be used both internally with The Advisory Board and externally with members and prospects. • Proven history of thriving in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. • Bachelor's degree required.
