manufacturer with overall responsibility for manufacturing operations in Massachusetts and
Mexico.
Kidde-Fenwal, Inc., Williams Holdings PLC 1992 - 1996
Vice President of Operations for a $78 million per year, 430 employee non-union manufacturer
of electronic ignition control systems, PCB's/PWA's, electromechanical temperature controls,
electronic fire detection systems and engineered fire suppression systems. Successful
turnaround requiring restructuring, cost reduction, systems and technology upgrades. Achieved
15% ROS. Responsible for manufacturing, quality, materials and engineering.
Delta/(ITT) Surprenant Inc., Delta PLC 1991 - 1992
Vice President of Operations for a $57 million per year 350 employee unionized manufacturer
of engineered high performance electronic cables utilizing electron beam technology.
Turnaround requiring major systems redesign and technology upgrades. Responsible for
manufacturing, engineering, production control and warehouse functions. Recruited with the
view toward becoming General Manager when Delta completed its planned acquisitions,
instead I departed when Surprenant was restructured as part of the 1992 aerospace industry
consolidation.
A.I.W. Corporation / Leviton Mfg. Co. 1987 - 1991
Vice President of Manufacturing for a $240 million per year multi-plant manufacturer utilizing
metal forming, plastic and rubber compounding and extrusion, injection molding and assembly
processes. Successful turnaround requiring management and technical systems creation, exten-
sive technology upgrades, labor relations reestablishment. Responsible for Manufacturing,
Materials, Facilities, Manufacturing Engineering and Safety for this three plant 1,200
employee unionized company.
Alcatel / ITT Electro-Optical Products Division 1985 - 1987
Plant Manager of a high-tech two plant non-union operation producing optical fiber and fiber
optic cable. Responsible for the successful P&L, technological and operational
startup/turnaround of this $35 million business, which was then sold, merged and relocated in
the ITT telcom divestiture. At that time I was offered an attractive position by Alcatel in
Roanoke, Virginia, but a family medical issue required that we remain in the Boston area.
Alpha Wire Corporation 1982 - 1985
Manager of Engineering for a $48 million facility producing and distributing electronic cables
and components. Responsible for manufacturing engineering, product design, ASRS startup,
process technology, quality Engineering, Quality Control.
ITT Royal Electric Division 1975 - 1982
Manager of Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Manager for a $67 million/year, 400
employee unionized facility.
