SUMMARY OF WORK EXPERIENCE
Over 20 years experience in computer related tasks as a database
administrator, project or program manager, test and integration specialist,
system manager/administrator, database developer/designer, software engineer,
system architect, system engineer, and programmer analyst. Languages used
include C, C++, SQL, 4GL, FORTRAN, and Pascal. Computers used
include the HPUX, Sun, VAX, PC's, Apollo, and CDC Cyber Series. Software
packages
include relational database packages and tools, such as, Oracle, Sybase,
Oracle Rdb, Rally, SQL*Forms, and DECforms, office automation packages, and

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
Oct.1996 to Pres. Consultant to EDS, Los Angeles, CA
Database administrator supporting three separate databases for a major
airline. Two of the three databases are distributed at multiple sites
requiring support on a continuing basis. Tasks include daily monitoring
of the databases, verification and maintenance of data integrity, tuning,
system and application upgrades and updates, monitoring of system resource
use. All the databases are Oracle and are either on UNIX or DOS
based platforms.
May 1995 to Oct. 1996 Consultant to Locus Computing, Inglewood, CA
Database design, analysis, and administration. Develop the data model for
the system, design the database and application code, performance
analysis and tuning the database. Develop secure, fail safe operation of an
on-line, Internet client-server financial application using the Oracle
replication
facility to provide seven days a week, 24 hours per day operation. Project is
being developed on a Unix platform using Oracle, C, C++, and SQL.
Apr. 1995 to May 1995 Consultant to Midcom Telecommunications, Ontario, CA
Database analysis and design. Examine current database structure
and integrity, modify existing tables, add indices, keys, triggers, and
constraints, be the DBA, determine and establish a code baseline.

Develop and install a customized ALL-IN-1 system at a new client including
integrating other software, such as, Oracle and WordPerfect. MailBus work
to guarantee delivery of e-mail to other systems and sites. Pathworks tasks
to support the installed PC base. Adjusted system parameters to maintain
system performance as the number of users grew from 0 to 650.
