LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS - Certified Public Accountant is desired FUNCTIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE - Finance: Financial analysis REQUIRED SKILLS - Analyze cost and functionality of current business processes - Balance and reconcile financial tools-systems - Ensuring Ethical Decisions - Interpersonal Communication - Microsoft Excel - Presentation DESIRED SKILLS - Collaborating for Results - Knowing Markets - Facilitation - Microsoft Access RESPONSIBILITIES Support Aetnas ability to achieve its financial and strategic goals by providing financial support to Regional Healthcare Delivery. The successful candidate will work with Network and senior management to prepare and maintain logs of provider liability issues and report those issues on a monthly basis. This will include consolidating all regional reports, consolidating and reporting accrual changes to accounting, and preparing the consolidated quarterly Management Issues list to management. This position also prepares the detail necessary for out-of-system settlements as the issues are resolved. Other significant functions include preparing and presenting the financial results of operations at the quarterly Board of Directors meetings, working with Statutory reporting to provide information needed for quarterly and annual filings, providing annual/quarterly financial projections as needed, and other financial support as requested by management. REQUIRED SKILLS The successful candidate must have a degree in Finance or Accounting with 3+ years finance related experience and strong analytical and problem solving skills. Healthcare finance is a plus. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables) and have the ability to manipulate large amounts of data into concise management reports. Must be able to work independently and assume a leadership role on projects. Ability to meet organizational goals with a sense of urgency is required. Candidate must have strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various levels of the organization. Must be adaptable and able to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
