Total Source a leading professional employer organization (PEO), provides small and mid-sized businesses with an integrated suite of services including HR administration, compliance management, safety and risk management, payroll and tax administration and employee benefits. The Sales Director manages TotalSource sales team(s) consisting of 6-8 quota carriers to achieve the assigned sales quota of the team(s). Implement a business plan which defines how the sales team(s) will obtain the regional sales objectives. Interface with other regional functional areas when necessary to achieve profitable sales and retain clients. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Attain or exceed 100% of assigned sales team(s) quota(s) with required product mix. 2. Manage and direct sales team members, and implement job responsibilities. Meet weekly with each direct report to review activity and prospective business reports, and monthly to determine if Business Plan goals are on target. Develop a regional business plan which defines how the sales team will obtain the regional sales objectives. Prepare a monthly situation report following the designated format established by Corporate Marketing. Establish a master prospect list designating all accounts that would close within 120 days. 3. Spend at least 60% of time on field calls to evaluate sales performance of assigned representative. Keep turnover of assigned sales team(s) under 10% by positive leadership skills, performance planning, coaching and counseling techniques and motivation. Continually participate in interviewing potential candidates for sales with consideration to affirmative action to establish a resource in the event of turnover. Maintain a sense of urgency, an attention to detail regarding situations that affect new sales, client retention and employee morale. 4. Works with regional operations personnel when required to ensure quality sales and retention of clients. Organize Regional client meetings. 5. Achieve net sales expense budget. QualificationsRequired (Experience, Skills, Academic): Experience as a sales manager with strong leadership skills of 2+ years . We prefer strategic (non-commodity) sales experience in technology, outsourcing, business products, services, or Human Resource Solutions . Proven Proficiency in selling skills, prospecting and territory management is preferred .
