architectur
dramatically reduces power and cost of video compression

Supporting H.264, WM9, MPEG2 and MPEG4, and leverages it’s
p
tented architecture to support multiple standards without
sac
ificing power or price.
Ideal candidate will be experienced with video compression
I
s, H.264, MPEG 2-4, etc... and the client is ONLY
interested

The Senior Embedded Software Engineer works with the
client'
infrastructure for audio/video decoding/encoding control
and
playback presentation. Usually this involves a set of OS
port
, drivers and test/demo applications running on a 3rd party
e
bedded CPU. The hardware platforms are either internal
protot
pes and/or customer's reference designs.
The Senior Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for
the
following:
* Port and/or develop software for FPGA based prototype
syst
ms: OS, device drivers, supporting tools and applications.
* Develop OS specific multimedia engine device drivers for
g
aphics and video presentation, playback, and encode
control.
* Architect, design and implement real time reference
softwa
e for audio/video decode/encode control.
* Mentor and lead other embedded software engineers on
appli
ations development activities.
Requirements
MSCS and 7+ years in multimedia embedded software
developmen
Extensive knowledge with multiple embedded processors
(MIPS.
ARM, Intel, etc.) and embedded operating systems/kernels
(Lin
x, Windows, etc.).
Demonstrated experience of porting OS kernels to embedded
pl
tforms.
Hardware device drivers and graphics drivers proven
expertis
Programming proficiency in C/C++ and assembly
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability interact with customers/partners and to plan and
org
nize a larger application team.
