Supporting H.264, WM9, MPEG2 and MPEG4, and leverages it’s

tented architecture to support multiple standards without
sac
ificing power or price.
Ideal candidate will be experienced with video compression
I
s, H.264, MPEG 2-4, etc... and the client is ONLY
interested

As a key member of this firmware team, the Senior Audio
Firm
are Engineer will be in charge of the audio codecs
activities
These involve developing and maintaining audio
decoders/enco
ers, interfacing, and testing audio codecs for our
proprietar
multimedia system.
Senior Audio Firmware Engineer is responsible for the
follow
ng:
* Software audio decoders and encoders (AAC, MP3, AC-3)
deve
opment: architecture, porting, optimization, testing,
system
ntegration.
* Design and implement system level playback and encode
cont
ol software.
* Mentor and lead other firmware engineers on codec
activiti
s.
Requirements
* MSCS and 7+ years in audio and video codec firmware
develo
ment.
* In-depth knowledge and demonstrated experience with
audio
ompression algorithms standards.
* Basic understanding of video compression standards.
* Good understanding of RISC micro controller and DSP
archit
cture.
* Experience optimizing DSP based audio codecs.
* Proven audio encoding algorithm development skills.
* Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and assembly.
* Working experience with the GNU cross development
softwar
tools.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to plan and organize a larger team.
