Responsible for assisting with Ballistic Missile Defense
Sys
em (BMDS) RAM engineering requirements. Provides radar and
s
nsor expertise to the IPT. Supports the overall
architecture
design, synthesis, analysis, and trades process. Provides
su
port engineering domain expertise in Reliability,
Availabilit
and Maintainability (RAM), Logistics and Training.
Supports
system requirements documentation, allocation, and
flow-down.
Conducts engineering assessments of BMDS
Elements/Components
nd candidate architectures. Interfaces with other National
T
am Industry Integrated Product Teams. Performs trade
analyse
Additional Comments: Some Travel may be required,
typical
y not more than 2 or 3 days per month.

Required Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of 10 years experience in an
engineering
lassification with strong experience in reliability,
availabi
ity and maintainability. Radar and Sensor experience
desired
Requires a degree in electrical, computer, aerospace or
oth
r applicable engineering field from an accredited
university.

Requires RAM, logistics and training analysis capability
and
experience. Ability to normalize RAM and training
characteri
tics from various elements to create a comprehensive system
a
sessment. Experience with radar and sensor technology
requir
d. Strong coordination, organization, teaming and
communicat
on abilities. System/specialty engineering experience on
lar
e, complex integration program. Familiarity with RAM
predict
on, allocation and modeling techniques such as FMECA or
FMEA.

Familiar with models such as Raptor, 217, Relex and
Telecord
a. ASQ Reliability Certification. Experience with BMDS,
suc
as Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Theater High
Altitu
e Area Defense (THAAD), Patriot PAC-3, Airborne Laser
(ABL),
ea-Based Missile Defense (SMD), X-Band Radar (XBR), and
Battl
Management Command Control and Communication (BMC2C).
