Oracle E-Business Database Admin/Developer
Primary responsibility of implementations and support of various
Oracle databases serving a wide variety of applications including
Oracle E-Business Suite
Our ideal candidate for this position will have a combination of
education, experience, and qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer or related field (MIS or Computer
Science or equivalent) * Minimum 3+ years experience in Oracle
database administration in 9i and/or newer versions * Minimum 2+ years
database administration on Oracle E-Business Suite running on Oracle
database 9i and above versions * 1-2 years experience with performance
tuning and monitoring * Excellent analytical skills, flexibility,
ability to plan and lead * Strong trouble shooting and root cause
problem resolution * Requires strong oral and written communication
skills * Experience in proactive management is preferred * Ability to
make strong recommendations supported with facts and then execute to a
plan
Required Oracle EBS Skills:
* Working knowledge of Oracle EBS Suite from technology point *
Working knowledge of Oracle Forms and Reports * Knowledge of
Discoverer reporting tool * Experience with Oracle Applications
Components: Oracle Web Server, Oracle Fusion Application Server *
Concurrent Managers
Required DBA Skills: Good knowledge of PL-SQL and stored procedures
Maintaining the Database * Using System Resources Efficiently *
Validating the APPS Schema * Creating Grants and Synonyms * Compiling
Invalid Objects * Pre-allocating Space for Packages and Functions
Performing Maintenance Tasks Non-interactively * Scheduling Non-
interactive Maintenance * Restarting a Failed Session
Managing Server Processes * Stopping or Starting Application Tier
Services * Stopping or Starting the Database or Database Tier Services
Patching * Interactive * Perform non-interactive patching Cloning Re-
creating (Migrating) existing database * Exporting/Importing a
database * Preserving the custom links General System Reporting and
Troubleshooting
Managing Worker Processes * Reviewing Worker Status * Determining Why
a Worker Failed * Handling a Failed Job * Terminating a Hanging Worker
Process Restarting Processes * Restarting a Failed Worker * Restarting
an AD Utility After a Machine Crash Shutting Down and Restarting the
Manager * Shutting Down the Manager * Reactivating the Manager
Desired Skills: * Experience on Redhat Linux
Additional responsibility of performance planning and execution of
improvements, capacity planning, applications stability and
availability
