Senior Database Programmer

Responsibilities -Works with ISD staff, and/or vendors to evaluate,
develop, and implement technical solutions including both packaged
system solutions and custom development applications options -Codes
complex or high risk components -Performs complex maintenance and
problem resolution of software applications -Maintains full technical
knowledge of applications, development tools and methods within a
particular platform or technology; instructs and guides others
oftentimes providing peer review to ensure quality assurance -
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of technical design alternatives and
the implications of each -Heavy focus on data integration supporting
back-end business processes -Prototype new applications to refine
requirements -Analyze code for problem resolution and performance
optimizations -Document work for maintenance in a production
environment, create task lists, timelines and deliverables, work to
meet project schedules determined by others

Basic Qualifications -Typically has completed a four-year academic
degree including courses in computer programming, systems analysis,
system development, or systems engineering OR has acquired Core IT
skills and knowledge via practical experience -Proficiently applies IT
methods, professional knowledge, and standards and practices and
experience using a formal change management system -Intuitively grasps
familiar, stable system performance situations -Responds to
unfamiliar, undefined, unexpected, or unstable situations with the
professionally prescribed standard response -Recognizes subtle
problems with system design or performance and acts appropriately to
improve the condition, seeking validation of actions in advance as
appropriate -Effective in relationships with business partners,
professional peers, and other team members -Coaches less experienced
IT professionals -Experience with SQL Server 2005, relational
databases, database administration, SQL tuning, ASP.NET, and C# is
highly desired
