A company that designs, manufactures and markets electronic motion
control systems needs a Director of Finance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned. This
position has financial responsibility for three locations totaling $45
million dollars in revenues.
Lead the Controls monthly close and consolidations process.
Communicate and monitor compliance with financial policies
and reporting requirements.
Oversee financial reporting and analysis.
Involved in detailed complex journal entries, account
analysis, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Lead and develop a team of financial associates.
Manage the yearly budgeting process for Controls
Prepare accurate monthly forecasts
Assist functional areas in identifying and carrying out
business initiatives to improve profits, reduce assets, and improve
the efficiency of all processes
Prepare reports that outline the company’s financial position
in the areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present
and future operations. Analyze and report variances.
Provide input for tax planning and compliance with all
federal, state and local corporate, payroll and other applicable
taxes.
Implement DBS tools to drive improvements in time, accuracy
and resources required.
Constantly look for “best practices” concepts in conjunction
with the DBS to be implemented throughout Controls.
Serve as a technical resource for accounting related issues.
Requirements:
o. Current experience as a Director of Finance for a manufacturing
company (Required)
o. Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, including
manufacturing, international, acquisition, public accounting and
consolidations experience. (Required)
o. Strong knowledge of GAAP (Required)
o. Working knowledge of consolidations and financial statement
preparation. (Required)
o. Proficiency with Hyperion. (Required)
o. Strong PC skills, particularly in Excel (Required)
o. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. MBA is a plus.
o. CPA is a major plus
