The leading developer of products for data synchronization,
integration, continuity, migration, and warehousing is seeking a
stellar Product Manager.
With more than 1,500 installations in the world’s largest enterprises,
the client has a proven history of helping its customers mitigate
risk, reduce costs, and increase revenue by enabling real-time
business processes.
Key Responsibilities
o. Provide valuable input and work effectively with the Product
Management team
o. “Own” market requirements for your products
o. Develop the short to medium term plans for the platforms and
solutions – working with CTO, Sales, Support and Engineering on
technology and architecture direction and planning decisions.
o. Define content and prioritize product release milestones
o. On-going analysis and technology assessment
o. Excellent communication of the Product Roadmap internally and with
customers
You should have at least eight years of experience and currently hold
or have held the position of Product Manager. In this position you
will have a key role in the group that sets the technical direction of
the company. Your interaction with customers and partners will have a
strong influence on the direction of the product. In this position
there will be a strong opportunity to influence the sale of our
software as well as consulting services. Your objectives will be based
on revenue generating activity.
Ideally, you are someone who moved from being a DBA or sales engineer
into marketing and product management. You are a strategic, process
oriented, excellent communicator with a strong technology background.
You possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-
picture vision, and the drive and relentlessness to make that vision a
reality.
Requirements:
o. Proven experience as a Product Manager for enterprise-class
software products (Required)
o Extensive, hands-on technical knowledge of databases such as DB2 or
SQLServer or Teradata (Required)
o. A Bachelor’s degree or an MBA in applicable field is a plus.
o. Direct experience with disaster recovery, data migration and/or
data integration a major plus
