Senior Software QA Specialist
Job Description Ensures that quality software is provided for release
to production by independently executing test scripts. Writes test
scripts Reviews requirements, specifications and documentation to gain
a thorough understanding of the programs and processes to be
certified. Provides or validates estimates for assigned tasks. Creates
and modifies test scripts to certify system changes. Develops test
control databases. Maintains test databases and ensures their
integrity and currency. Distributes test data from control database to
development staff to satisfy adequate unit testing. Assists with
configuration management tasks on a project (test scripts, source code
control, coordination of requirement changes) as required. Releases
completed projects into production. May write trace-ability matrices
and test reports. May perform program changes or develop software
programs as required. A Bachelor degree or equivalent experience and
five to seven years of related experience required.
Required Skills - Proven Experience with Mercury (HP) Testing Tool
implementation and Administrative functions - Proven Skills with
Automated Testing - Skilled at Customizing Mercury (HP) Testing
Products - Ability to identify missing Functional Requirements -
Skilled at ensuring all Functional Requirements are covered with
accurate Test Cases - Skilled with use of T-SQL - Ability to Create
Quality Assurance Process and Implement - Ability to Write Training
Documentation and Train QA personnel - Skilled in Defect and Testing
Analysis - Ability to Test User interfaces as well as confirm code is
executed properly and tables are written accurately
Required Experience Required Experience: - 5-7 Years Experience with
Hands on Testing - 5-7 Years Experience writing Test Cases based on
Functional Requirements - Experience with a formalized SDLC Desired
Experience: - Experience with C# - Experience with .NET - Ability to
Develop and Maintain MS Access Database - Ability to write processes
to move data across databases - Experience with Visual Studio for
Tester Team Foundation Server Testing Tool implementation
