Creation of a Committee to run the "us.*" hierarchy and the
elimination
of the temporary "Admin" position.
This is a formal Request for Discussion (RFD) to create the
committee
called for in the Articles of Confederation that support the
existence
of the "us.*" newsgroups located at:
http://www.usenetnews.us/index.shtml
Discussion will include form and duties of said committee,
staffing and
selection of same, responsibilities, powers, definitions of
terms used,
and the checks and balances required to keep and maintain
the us.*
hierarchy and allow the committee to act as champions of
the user base
of the us.* newsgroups, which will be it's primary mission.

Rationale: The formation is called for in the founding
documents and
members of some of the various groups that make up "us.*"
have developed
the interest, knowledge, and technical proficiency necessary
to perform
the duties required and have demonstrated an ongoing
interest in doing
so.

Procedure: Not a newsgroup proposal, so item will remain on
the table
in us.config until consensus has been reached, whether "yea"
or "nay",
