a) us.issues.abortion will remain as is,
b) us.issues.occupations.computer-programmers should be
removed for lack of traffic,
c) us.issues.statehood.upstate-ny should also be removed
for lack of traffic, but that
d) us.issues itself will not be removed until more groups are
created in the us.issues.* namespace.
I then presented a list of possible groups to be created in the
us.issues.* namespace, to wit:
>us.issues.crime
>us.issues.economics
>us.issues.education
>us.issues.environment
>us.issues.gun-control
>us.issues.health-care
>us.issues.immigration
>us.issues.national-defense
>us.issues.rights+liberties
>us.issues.trade
>etc.
See Message-ID: <4vibivk6rnikfac1a...@4ax.com>
There was no great consensus in support of any of these
particular group names. Most of the discussion centered
on crime, education, and rights+liberties, but there was no
consensus as to the best approach to take in regard to these
topics. This was particularly true in regard to creating groups
for 'crime' and 'rights+liberties'.
In the absence of a clear consensus, I cannot recommend any
new groups to be created in the us.issues.* namespace. I can,
however, proceed with the removal of the computer-programmers
and upstate-ny groups, and this I will do forthwith.
I do not intend to post any RFDs to create new groups in the
us.issues.* namespace at the present time. Others are welcome
to try, however, if they wish.
So, unless someone besides myself posts an RFD to create another
group n the us.issues.* namespace,
a) the two groups mentioned above will be removed, and
b) us.issues and us.issues.abortion will remain as is.
Thank you for your time.
