Position               :           Business Analyst with Data Warehouse  

Location               :           Allentown, PA

Duration              :          6- 12+ months

Interview            :           Phone then F2F

 

NEED-

·         Experienced working on Data Warehouse/Micro strategy related projects

·         Some Micro Strategy exposure is highly desired

·         Data Mapping skills

 

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for analyzing needs of business counterparts into actionable development approach
• Consult with end users on best use of existing products
• Assist Business line counterparts in scoping of new efforts and Business Case creation and justification for funding
• Interact with associates from other IT teams to understand business strategies, future initiatives to determine future process / analytical needs.
• Responsible for analyzing the business needs to identify new processes or process improvements that will meet those needs.
• Analyze “soft” systems factors including: roles, responsibilities, policy, culture, etc.
• Evaluate the impact of process changes on existing applications
• Develop and facilitate cross-functional groups as necessary in pursuit of eliciting and defining requirements.
• Create detailed business requirements documents, process flow documentation, gap identification and software functional design.
• Ability to coordinate project activities, report/track status amongst a varying stakeholder base

·   Able to handle competing priorities from varying business lines

 

Mandatory Skills:

·         5+ years with Business System Analysis.

·         Working knowledge of SDLC, Agile.

·         Experience of various BI Tools (i.e MicroStrategy, MicroSoft)

·         Excellent communication and analytical skills.

·         Experience in client communication.

·         Experience with Quality Assurance activity.

·         Experience in Defining requirement specification, use cases

·         Experience with SQL and data analysis.

 

Preferred Skills:

·         Demonstrated team player and leadership qualities.

·         Past experience in a regulated industry a plus

·         Experience working with geographically disperse development teams

·         Experience with ETL systems.

·         Experience working on ETL, integration, data modeling projects is a plus.

·         Experience with Statistical modelling software (i.e. R, SAS, Python, SPSS) a plus but not required
