Job Title: Data Engineer – Workday Expertise

Location: Houston, TX (Remote) 

Employment type: Contract

 

Experienced Data Engineer responsible for end-to-end migration from UKG Pro/Kronos to Workday, including extraction, transformation, loading, and downstream integrations, working closely with business stakeholders and Workday SMEs.

 

Core Responsibilities

• Extract data from UKG Pro/Kronos (Talent, Timesheet, Core HCM, Payroll)
• Transform, cleanse, and validate data
• Load data into Workday using Core Connectors
• Build ETL pipelines to downstream systems (JDE, ServiceNow, Concur, Active Directory, Tower CRM)
• Collaborate with business teams for extraction and SMEs for mapping
• Support testing and validation cycles

 

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years in ETL/data migration
• UKG Pro & Kronos experience
• AWS Glue, Python/Spark
• Workday Core Connector
• HR domains: Employee, Org, Project Time
• Workday integrations experience
• UKG to Workday migration
• Familiarity with JDE, SNow, Concur, AD, Tower CRM

 

Red Flags / Disqualifiers

• No ETL hands-on
• No UKG experience
• Only theoretical Workday
• Less than 5 years experience
