Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Databricks Architect with strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable cloud-based data and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should have deep hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, cloud platforms, and modern data architecture practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect enterprise-scale data platforms using Databricks
Develop scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT frameworks
Lead data modernization and migration initiatives
Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to define architecture strategies
Optimize Spark workloads and Databricks environments for performance and scalability
Implement best practices around security, governance, monitoring, and CI/CD
Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership
Required Skills:
15+ years of IT experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture
Strong hands-on expertise in Databricks and Apache Spark
Experience with Azure Databricks / AWS Databricks
Strong knowledge of Python, PySpark, SQL
Experience with Delta Lake, Data Lakehouse architecture
Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
Experience with data warehousing and big data technologies
Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile methodologies
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow, or streaming technologies
Exposure to AI/ML workloads in Databricks
Databricks certifications preferred
