Location: Kansas City

Duration: 3-6 Months



The Database Administrator will design, create, implement, and maintain Database solutions. The Database Administrator must possess a highly developed understanding and expertise of the following:

• A diverse set of Database technologies to include, Database Management System backup and recovery, TSM, Database performance tuning, SQL analysis and tuning, Data Modeling, Data Security and Data Quality Assurance.
• SME for most, if not all, Database technology utilized by the corporate and field end users.
• Regarded as a Database support expert and understands the many user environments which would be supported.
•  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience with Oracle 9, 10G, 11G and RAC in addition to Microsoft SQL Database Management System 2005, Experience with MS SQL database administration on Unix (AIX preferred) platform.
• Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
• Oracle RAC
• MS 2008 Clusters
• Experience with SQL Server Database Management System (SQL Server 2000 and 2005)
• SQL Tuning Expert
• Expert in Unix (AIX) Shell and PERL Scripting
• Expert in Data Quality and Security
• Experience with on call 24 x 7 production pager rotation duties
• Experience with Managing Microsoft software versions, installations, upgrades and patch installations

Familiarity with Client connectivity variants (OCI, ODBC, JDBC
