Title : Front End UI UX Consultant

Location : King of Prussia, PA

Job Description:

·         Client is looking for candidates with good UI UX skills, familiarity with atomic design concepts, knowledge of integrating with CMS such as Sitecore or Wordpress.

·         Expert in JavaScript.

o   Gulp or Grunt running on NodeJS, Gulp preferred.

o   jQuery and other libraries.

·         Understands performance impact and how to mitigate.

·         Able to work well in vanilla JavaScript.

·         Able to build sites that work even if JavaScript fails – Progressive Enhancement experience a plus.

·         Open source library contributions a plus.

·         AJAX

o   Knows how to use it.

o   Knows when to use it.

o   Knows when not to use it.

·         CSS / SCSS

o   Expert in CSS3, experienced with CSS 1, 2.1, and able to speak to CSS 4.

o   Experience with CSS Preprocessors - SASS/SCSS or LESS (SCSS preferred).

·         Familiar with variables, mixins, functions, and can use those tools to create DRY, reusable code.

·         Familiar with BEM CSS naming conventions.

·         Comfortable with Compass for auto-compiling.

·         Experience with HTML5 and semantic markup.

·         Knows when to use CSS, when to use JavaScript, and when to rely on default HTML behaviors.

·         Modular design capabilities, Atomic Design experience preferred.

o   Ability to create modular, reusable HTML components

o   Ability to handle templating languages, .NET MVC Razor preferred.

·         Expert in Version Control, Git strongly preferred.

o   Able to describe branching, tags.

o   Able to explain at least one branching strategy, such as Git Flow, Wunderflow, GitHub Flow, GitLab Flow.

·         Design to Component conversion - Ability to extract images from PSDs, deeper Photoshop experience preferred.

·         CMS experience – Word press, Drupal, Magento, Sitecore, or any other CMS. Sitecore 9 preferred.

·         Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with local and remote employees in multiple timezones.

·         Experience with Agile / Scrum.

·         Comfortable with Service-Now, JIRA, or other ticketing systems.
