Job Duration: 12 months
Visa Type: GC, USC or EAD’s(No OPT’s)
Responsibilities:
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Develop and/or modify COBOL programs while providing expertise from concept and design to testing.
• Write well designed testable, efficient code.
• Ensure designs are following specifications and best practices.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Expectations:
• Prior experience with Unemployment Insurance Benefits systems
• Proven working experience in COBOL development and MVS JCL
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL
• Experience in developing and consuming SOAP web services utilizing CICS Web Services and XML.
• Experience in working in teams using Agile methodologies
Requirements
• COBOL – (10 years of experience REQUIRED)
• JCL – (10 years of experience REQUIRED)
• VSAM – (10 years of experience REQUIRED)
• CICS COBOL and BMS – (10 years of experience REQUIRED)
• DB2 SQL (6 years of experience REQUIRED)
• DFSORT or SYNCSORT (6 years of experience REQUIRED)
• TSO/ISPF (6 years of experience REQUIRED)
• IBM MQSeries (4 years of experience HIGHLY DESIRED)
• Unix System Services (1 year experience HIGHLY DESIRED)
• Expeditor (1 year experience HIGHLY DESIRED)
