Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: Long Term Contract
JD:
We need a Service engineer / Data engineer / Support engineer. Who can do a server support, like when server break downs.
This Support engineer should be well known of Geneva, Azure Kusto and Cosmos Cluster. And well programming knowledge to be needed in PowerBI, PowerShell and C# coding.
Deployment
· Sprint fixes: deployment every sprint
· Hot patch for incidents: on demand
Technical Requirements
· SQL (TSQL, SPROCs, agent jobs, SSIS)
No SSAS or SSRS needed
· Geneva
· Azure Kusto
· Cosmos Cluster
· PowerBI
· Powershell
· C#
· REST integration (e.g., Call to VSO Endpoint to extract work items)
Types of tasks (all in support of current platform):
· Production Issues
· For example- the code isn’t getting to these 100 servers. Investigate – check out pipeline, adjust code, deploy it
· Feature requests that will be DevOps/service oriented
· For example- amend this piece of code so it does something different.
· For example- add one more table to transform data into s slightly different view
· For example- ingest another data source the same way we have done the other 50
· Adjusting code to modify platform
· For example- Put in this data, Break up this VSO table, Parse out this other VSO data, Rearrange this data
· Hot Fixes- Dealing with issues that arise
· Rundown of SLAs for different incidents
· Deployment- Monitor dev, test and production pipeline for deployment. Understand risks. Automation. Analysis.
· Security reporting up to the CEO (included on the scorecard)
