Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior DBA with strong expertise in Oracle GoldenGate and Big Data integration. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain high-availability database solutions, enable real-time data replication, and support large-scale data processing pipelines in the cloud. AWS experience is required; Azure experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer, configure, and optimize Oracle (and other RDBMS) environments in on-prem and cloud setups.
• Implement and manage Oracle GoldenGate for real-time replication across heterogeneous systems.
• Integrate replicated data with Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, etc.) for analytics and processing.
• Design and maintain cloud-based database solutions in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, networking).
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security, scalability, and compliance.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and system migrations.
• Collaborate with data engineering and application teams to optimize data flows.
Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years as a Database Administrator (Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate configuration, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Big Data ecosystems (HDFS, Hive, Kafka, Spark, etc.).
• Proficiency in AWS services relevant to databases; Azure exposure preferred.
• Strong SQL and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications in AWS or Oracle Database Administration.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD automation for database deployments.
