Job Description:

This is a senior position that requires technical excellence and deep knowledge of Websphere MQ as well as broad knowledge of other related technologies.

This is a hands on role and the individual must be must be able to perform all task assigned as well as the day-to-day administration function.

 

Position Requirements:

·         Ability to work with teams of people of vastly different skill and experience levels.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

·         Ability to interface effectively with management, which includes business and technical teams.

·         Excellent organizational, time management and judgment skills. Proven ability to make sound decisions.

·         Experience in administration, installation and configuration of IBM Web Sphere MQ product.

·         Experience in IT, working with Message Oriented Middle ware products.

·         Experience working as an IT Architect designing solutions.

·         5-10 years or more experience with IBM Web Sphere MQ.

·         5+ years of experience writing and reviewing complex technical documents, specifications, and requirements.

·         Strong architecture and design methodology background and 3+ years of experience working in a challenging environment with the technical architecture of a large enterprise.

·         Have a good understanding of the latest trends in messaging in the cloud both On-Prem and Off-Prem.

·         JAVA Coding Experience and installation & configuration of Open source Messaging products like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ or Kafka.

·         Ability to look at application code and troubleshoot application connectivity issues preferred.

·         Experience working with an application development team in an agile software development environment.

·         Must possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline; advanced degree is preferred.

 

Technical Requirements:

·         HA using VCS

·         Architect MQ infrastructure on Sun Sparc using LDOM's

·         MQ Clustering

·         MQ Pub / Sub

·         Hands on experience with MQ 7.5 / 8.0

·         Security using LDAP / SSL / Channel Auths

·         Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning

·         Monitoring and management.

·         Specification of implementation instructions, monitoring requirements, network hardware requirements, application-modification instructions.

·         Providing leadership in the areas of standardization and best practices
