Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Sr. Business Systems Analyst with a background in Payments. As the Sr. Business Systems Analyst, you will leverage your subject matter expertise for Payment systems and technology, engage with Payments stakeholders to analyze business requirements, and iteratively develop user stories, functional requirements, technical requirements, data models, and system specifications to drive process improvements, enable solution selection, development, and delivery.
This role will work closely with partner resources and team members (vendors, architecture group, data team, and analysts), Payments stakeholders and product managers in an agile delivery model to deliver solutions that directly contribute to the success of our Payments business and ultimately bring value to our prospects and clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Analyze and translate complex business requirements into functional requirements and design.
• Perform process and system related analysis using knowledge of applications, interfaces and data structures to recommend solutions.
• Facilitate and participate in white-boarding sessions and lead user requirements workshops.
• Prepare and present subject matter knowledge, analysis, options, and solutions in both written and presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Regularly apply advanced data analysis skills to understand detailed data flows between Payments systems and upstream/downstream systems.
• Regularly apply knowledge of relevant technology trends within the Payments domain to build for the future.
• Complete ownership of the applications in the portfolio from deployment to day-to-day support aspects.
• Perform impact analysis of system changes to upstream / downstream systems.
• Understand client needs and pain points; recommend enhancements and work with technical team to build into releases.
• Guide business users in using systems / features.
• Perform and/or participate in testing releases prior to installing in production.
• Assist in developing training materials for system functionality.
• Assist with performing application changes and configuration.
Required Skills
• Eight or more years of experience defining system requirements and project scope.
• Five or more years of experience with Payments domains and business processes.
• Two or more years of experience working with enterprise databases.
• Hands-on experience interfacing with transactional databases (MS SQL, Oracle), and enterprise integration services/solutions.
• Experience with Agile & SDLC development methodologies.
• Experience with Jira & Confluence.
