Position summary:
Expected skills needed for service by consultant include but are not limited to: 1. Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining SQL Server infrastructure 2. Through knowledge of windows platforms 2008/2008R2/2012/2016 3. Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization using native monitoring and monitoring tools. 4. Experience in Upgrade/migration of new releases from Development to QA, UAT and Production. 5. Through advanced knowledge of HA including Failover clustering, repl 3.Experience 5to9Yrs 4.Required Skills ,SQL Server DB Administration 5.Nice to have skills 6.Technology -Not Applicable 7.Shift Day 900 AM-7:00 PM 8.Roles & Responsibilities Expected skills needed for service by consultant include but are not limited to: 1. Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining SQL Server infrastructure 2. Through knowledge of windows platforms 2008/2008R2/2012/2016 3. Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization using native monitoring and monitoring tools. 4. Experience in Upgrade/migration of new releases from Development to QA, UAT and Production. 5. Through advanced knowledge of HA including Failover clustering, replication, Log shipping and Always On. 6. Experience with backups, restores and recovery models 7. Knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server 8. Knowledge of SQL Server databases management 9. Should have experience in backup and restore methods 10. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues Database development support for the following Common App LEM projects a) IBM ACE Implementation b) SQL 2012 Upgrade c) Agile/DevOps Expansion d) SQL 2014 Upgrade e) Web Apps Refresh 2. Tasks, Configuration and Deployment Documentation: a) Database schema creation and management b) Database Performance ,health, integrity and space c) Work with development teams in database design process and make suggestions/recommendations based on data needs of the application. d) Deploy application related database and configuration changes through Dev & QA. e) Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds. f) Deployment Plan – this is plan for how the database objects will be deployed to QA and Production including post go-live hyper care and support transition documents, before being turned over to the NYPA Support organization g) Go-Live Checklist – this is the checklist of activities required to move the database objects into production.
