Role:- Big Data Engineer
Location:- Remote
Type:- Contract
Who are we looking for:-
· 8+ years of total IT experience
· 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
· 4+ years of software engineering experience
· 2+ years of experience in artificial intelligence or machine learning
· 3+ years of experience with Big Data or Hadoop tools such as Spark, Hive, Kafka and Map
· 5+ years of Python experience
· 4+ years of working in a large Financial institution
Desired Qualifications
· A Masters degree or higher
· Basic knowledge of industry regulations related to building technological solutions
· Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
· 5+ years of Financial and Risk modeling experience. Need not be a modeler but experience in working/supporting models
· 2+ years of design and development of platforms, applications, modules in a big data environments (Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR)
· Recent and Relevant Risk domain experience delivering technology solutions for financial and non-financial risk management
· Excellent communication (oral and written) with ability to communicate at multiple levels ranging from technologists to senior managers and executive leadership
· Ability to develop technology strategy, operating model & roadmaps with clear objectives and aligned with business, enterprise and technology strategies
· Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial, operational, technical and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment
· Broad experience across multiple areas of technology including one or more of architecture, infrastructure and application development with strong understanding of leading edge as well as legacy and distributed technologies to effectively manage the complex and diverse applications portfolio.
