Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Junior Oracle DBA to be part of working on existing version of the enterprise system application software. This role is to take over existing processes and responsibilities of the Database Administrator (DBA) that built/maintains the Databases for the enterprise system and continue operations. This role is looking for technical skill-sets to support ongoing development teams by managing the non-production databases and also work on the production databases as well as perform ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the databases.
Oracle DBA needed for this project:
The Junior Oracle DBA will be performing the below responsibilities. The databases in the enterprise are both Oracle and SQL Server; however most of the enterprise is Oracle.
- Strong Oracle DBA Skills
- Strong skills in writing SQL Procedures
- Develop and implement database performance monitoring processes
- Experience with performance tuning, standby, backup, and recovery
- IT Operations DB Change Requests
- DB access for project personnel and Password Resets
- Security Management (new users, user audits, etc.)
- Space Management (monitoring tablespace and datafile space needs, etc.)
- Alert and performance troubleshooting - Oracle & SQL server
- Production Maintenance Windows
- General data migration
- General tasks related to advanced database concepts (TDE, datapump, RMAN, queue processing, database parameters, Oracle and SQL server job management, data guard, etc.)
