Role: UI/UX Designer

Location: Bothell, WA

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Description: 

Seeking a UI/UX Designer to help define future product solutions to meet real user needs for current and future medical devices and systems. This position works across disciplines to create engaging and original designs supporting user experience goals. We are looking for a designer with a passion for user centered design and delivering simple and stunning user interfaces that accelerate user workflow. You will be working across different products and platforms and expected to push the state-of-the-art in visual and experience design.

 

Ideal Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced understanding of user interface design principles
• Proficiency in design and wire-framing tools (for example: Axure, Sketch, Invision, iRise)
• Ability to translate user research into design solutions
• Ability to work with Product owners and Business Analysts to draw UX requirements
• Ability to express design ideas through wireframes and comps
• Ability to work with development teams to help them understand and translate design specs.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Work closely with development team in help understanding UI development needs and its development translations
• Experience in understanding CSS, HTML and UI development process
• A positive attitude, open mind, and a desire to collaborate
• Good visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
• Prototyping skills for web and mobile devices and understanding of responsive design and various device form factors.
• Experience with prototyping for usability studies and testing.

 

Requirement

• A bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related field required or equivalent proven experience.
• A portfolio of work that demonstrates the above.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

 

Bonus skills:

• Strong understanding of design-thinking process.
• Experience in a medical field.
• Experience in writing interaction design and visual design documentation.
• Experience designing interfaces for hardware devices and familiarity with the firmware/software development process.
