Job Description
- Experience with the Microsoft Azure in a DevOps Engineer role, as well as application infrastructure related activities, is a must
- Provide full application development support across all environments including providing production support - Level 3 and higher in a DevOps role
Essential Skills:
· Hands-on experience working with Application teams to deliver leading platforms with tight deadlines.
· Experience managing tasks across multiple simultaneous projects with aggressive timelines.
· Proven experience in working on Azure environments & its offerings (PaaS, SaaS or IaaS), PowerShell, Load balancing, Firewall, and DNS.
· Understanding of Cloud APIs and Cloud technologies with some .NET & C# programming experience.
· Act as a liaison between application development and different infrastructure teams.
· Ability to troubleshoot multiple applications.
· Understanding of OWASP and security best practices
· Prior experience in using cloud APIs to automate provisioning, deployment, improving system performance and stability a plus.
· 5 years of hands-on Linux/Unix scripting and administration or experience with managing middleware application technologies is required
· Strong understanding of Internet protocols including HTTP, SSL, TCP, IP is required
· Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools is a plus
· Hands-on experience in troubleshooting Java application problems and experience with BigData, Apache, Tomcat and other middleware technologies is a plus
· Exposure to public cloud and cloud technologies such as Amazon AWS, Azure, or any other Infrastructure as a Service provider is a plus
· Knowledge of LAN WAN Network, VPN, and IPSEC is a plus
· Prior experience with tools such as Maven, Jenkins and Perforce and setting up CI/CD pipeline is required
· Use of Cloud APIs to automate provisioning and deployments is a plus
· 2 years of experience in any one of these technologies: Puppet, Chef, Ruby, Python or Shell scripting
