We have urgent requirements  with our implementation for the below requirement.

NOTE: C2H for after 6 months (Initial 6 months C2C) Need to sign the consent form before RC. 

Position	:	Network Engineer with Python scripting
Location	:	Dallas, TX (Initially Remote)
Duration	:	1+ year (C2H After 6 months of C2C)
End Client	:	Infinite/IBM Cloud

· We are looking for Network Engineer to assist in the development, engineering, deployment, configuration, break/fix resolution, security and management of SoftLayer’s networks.

· This position interfaces directly with our data center staff, procurement teams, management, development teams, and vendor support staff.

Required Experience:

· 2-5 years’ experience in a customer facing support position.

· 2+ years’ working on large-scale service provider networks.

· 3+ years’ network engineering experience (tier 2-3, not NOC)

· Strong networking troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to work remotely with little or no direct supervision.

· Ability to recognize and prioritize critical tasks independently.

·        Python Scripting for automation is a must for this role (no submission will be considered without this skillset)

·        Candidate with Cloud provider, hosting company experience is an added advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Receive escalations from our NOC, Network Support Engineers, and Management.

· Provide support to Sales for customer related network issues.

· Engage with Technical Account Managers and/or Sales Engineers to represent the networking department in discussions with customers.

· Troubleshoot and identify network issues as they are escalated, and fix/escalate/document as needed/required.

· Performance analysis and optimization.

· Create diagrams and other documentation of network environments.

· Ability to recognize and prioritize critical tasks independently.

· Plan, schedule, and implement network maintenances.

· Meet project deadlines.

· Collaboratively manage vendor support escalations.

 

Desired Experience:

Vendor Certifications	CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE
Vendor Hardware Platforms	Cisco Catalyst 6500, Cisco Nexus 7000, Juniper MX, Juniper QFX, Cisco switches, Arista switches
High Availability Technologies	HSRP, VRRP, MLAG, VSS, VPC
Routing Protocols	OSPF, BGP, MPLS
Scripting Languages	Python, Perl, Bash, Expect/TCL
Operating Systems	Linux, BSD

 

Special Note:
Cloud experience is Mandatory: Python Scripting for automation is a must for this role (no submission will be considered without this skillset) Candidate with Cloud provider, hosting company experience is an added advantage. A service provider environment background is a plus. Troubleshooting network, configuration changes are kind of day-to-day work. Certifications are NOT mandatory.
