Position summary:

Job Description

- Gathers, refines and validates complex business requirements, interdependencies, potential risks and issues, mitigation recommendations.
- Analyzes business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions
- Assists in the business process design or redesign and documentation as needed.

- Translates high level business requirements into functional specification documentation and manages changes to such specifications

- Provides functional expertise and configuration knowledge within SAP SD and MM area

- Facilitates communication and gains commitment between business units to align solutions with business strategies

- Identifies, assigns, and completes large and complex projects and enhancements by breaking it down into discrete sprints offering the agility needed to react to business requirements as they change.

- Develops complex business cases
- Works on multiple projects as a project team member, at times as a project leader

- Contributes to all aspects of testing phase including test planning, data preparation, assists in environment and SAP security set up, test scenario preparation for UT/SIT/UAT phases and test validations

- May coach and mentor less experienced staff
- Assists with facilitating project governance and corporate priorities

 

Academic/Experience/Competency

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.

The candidate must display the following technical competencies:
- In‐depth knowledge of business requirement and corporate priorities.
- Advanced ability to gather/refine complex business requirements, recommend or make decisions on business requirements/interdependencies.
- Advanced ability to develop complex business cases.
- Advanced ability to create impact analyses to make recommendations.
- Advanced ability to present complex positions and strategies for business decisions, processes and plans.
- In‐depth knowledge of compliance principles.
- In‐depth understanding of the business architecture and its relationship to other architectures.
- Advanced ability to assess corporate impacts of changes and recommend strategies to senior management.

- Hands-on experience in SAP SD configuration, customization and cross-functional integration with LE, MM, WM and FI

 

Business Experience

10 years of experience in business and systems analysis.

Knowledge and experience in SAP, especially functional knowledge of SD and MM modules.

Skill and experience in writing requirements, design documents, test plans and test scripts.

Ability to document business scenarios from business work flows and system flows.

Exceptional analytical skills.

Strong verbal communication skills.

Experience in implementing SAP projects and enhancements using Agile and Waterfall methodology.

Ability to act as an effective liaison between the business and the technical teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

 

Daily Tasks Performed

Support for enhancements and projects, as assigned, in the SD and MM area.

Meet with the business to gather and document requirements for system changes.

Perform design analysis for requested changes.

Create and maintain functional specifications.

Develop specifications for configuration changes.

Communicate requirements and specifications to the technical team.

Develop unit, system integration, performance, and user acceptance test plans.

Conduct unit, system integration and performance testing.

Support user acceptance testing.

Create project plans and implementation playbooks.
