Job Title: Sr. Hadoop Engineer with Talend
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Duration: 6+ Months
Client: CompAid Inc
Local Candidates highly preferred
MUST HAVE:
· 13+ years overall IT experience
· 10+ years of strong Hadoop experience
· 3+ years’ experience building, delivering, and supporting big data tools, services, and products including:
o Hadoop development using Standard jobs in Hive/Impala/HBase
o Hadoop development using Big Data batch jobs in MapReduce/Spark framework
· 2+ years of experience in Talend Studio including:
o Talend Hadoop jobs integrated with Kerberos security for Hive, Impala and HBase
o Talend development and testing using remote Job Servers
o Talend experience with Parquet and Avro Hadoop file formats and Talend components
o Talend Integration experience with AWS/Azure
o TAC functionalities for publishing a job in NEXUS, scheduling the jobs, checking the logs in Activity Monitoring Console (AMC) with capturing Talend job logs
o Experience branching, merging, and resolving conflict accessing GitHub code through Talend Studio
· Reusable Code routines, Joblets, Error Handling, and Reference projects
· Data type conversions, Error Handling techniques, Versioning jobs experience
· Strong exception handling and debugging skills
· Experience using CONTROL-M scheduling tool
· Experience creating a dynamic context and transmission of context into sub-jobs
· Experience with executing jobs in jobserver, publishing jobs in NEXUS, and conducting performance tuning for developed jobs
· Knowledge on job design, planning, and maintenance
· Experience with different types of scenarios, i.e. Flip flop file, Change Data Capture (CDC), SCD TYPE2, and Loading Fact and Dimension tables
· Understanding with Data Warehouse concepts
· Strong ETL best practices experiences
· Experience with UNIX commands
· Good knowledge on JAVA
Experience with Unix shell scripting
