Job Description:

 

Job Title	Process Engineer (Project Execution background)
Department	Plant Engineering
Job Description	·         o Interface with Client project execution team, design firms, equipment vendors, construction contractors to ensure successful project implementation. o Protect the Client’s interests by ensuring that the technical and build contractors are adhering to the project specification. o Coordinate design reviews and approval of detailed design documents. o Review of engineering documents developed by design build contractors to ensure that the plant is designed and built in accordance with technical specification, operational and safety aspects, reliability and ease of maintenance and sound engineering practices. o The review of quality assurance and quality control program, test certification of critical equipment, performance guarantee procedures, erection, testing and commissioning procedures, O&M manual, training manual, change order etc. provided design build contractors, vendors. o To review quality control and quality assurance procedures, witnessing of factory acceptance test, scrutiny of test certificates, inspection reports against relevant contract specifications/ approved drawing. o Witness performance testing and commissioning activities, field testing for performance of major equipment and systems and provide technical assistance to CLIENT for-performance guarantee testing. o Provide field engineering and project execution support, which includes ensuring correct interpretation of engineering drawings at site, troubleshooting engineering related issues at site. o Monitor project progress, issue periodical progress report, preparation of outstanding punch points, schedule for their completion. o Technical bid evaluation and finalisation including pre-bid queries, furnishing replies to bidders, bid clarification meetings, preparation of technical bid evaluation report, preparation of draft LOI and finalisation of technical contract with appropriate terms and conditions with the vendors, for process equipment, and utility packages. Assist CLIENT to make right engineering and procurement decision. o Conduct project review meetings and circulate minutes.
Educational Qualification	Bachelors or Master’s in Chemical Engineering
Skills Required	·         o Perform Process engineering calculations such as Mass & Energy balances, process / utility piping hydraulic calculations etc. o Development of PFD and P&ID's o Perform calculations related to process equipment sizing & selection o Preparation of specification datasheets of chemical process equipment, utility systems & ETP systems. o Preparation of process operation sequence logic and interlocks systems for chemical plant. o Preparation of IQ, OQ Protocols o Co-ordinate with project execution team on process engineering communication & support. o Technical evaluation of vendor quotes for process equipment and other utility/process package items. o Interface with various project stake holders o Progress monitoring & status reporting
