Position: Oracle pl/Sql developer with Angular skills

Location: Waukegan, IL

Type: long term contract

Rate: open

Position summary:

Primary Tech skills: Oracle PL/SQL skills and Angular Query skills

- Experienced back-end SQL developer with strong skills to enhance our clinical operations BI analytics application

Responsibilities:

- Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code

- Well understanding of clinical operational data

- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing materialized views and jobs

- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

- Work closely with other developers, UX designers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and QA Analysts

- Break down complex requirements into independent coding tasks and strategies

- Create unit and integration tests to fully test and regress software

- Participate in design and code reviews

- Develop database schemas, tables and dictionaries

- Ensure the data quality and integrity in databases

 - Fix any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures

- Test databases and perform bug fixes

- Develop best practices for database design and development activities

- Participate in Agile routines and ceremonies; daily standups, sprint planning, sprint demos/retrospectives

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

- B.S in Computer Science, M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

- 5+ years of professional SQL development experience in an Agile environment

- In depth knowledge to write and decipher complex SQL queries and scripts to surface data into actionable insights

- Continuous operations to fix/enhance any application issues that arise

- Experience with TOAD and back-end query development

 - Strong understanding of professional software engineering best practices for the full SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Openness to new ideas and an unceasing desire to learn new things

- Outstanding interpersonal skills, a positive mindset, and a collaborative spirit are a must have

Desired Experience:

- Experience with Angular Query

- Experience with Atlassian tools: JIRA, Confluence, etc.
