Role : Technical Infrastructure Project Manager       

Location : Carlsbad, CA

Duration: 12+ Months

Client : TCS(WWW.TCS.COM)

  

Project Overview:

Project lead to Remediate security risks on over 350 Windows

2000-2003 servers which involves retiring obsolesced applications, partitioning

servers unable to upgrade to VLANs, or other options.

 

Key Skills:

At least 3 year of direct and recent experience working as a Technical Infrastructure Project Manager        

Understanding of Windows environment.          

Experience in migrating data centers or upgrade Windows OS.

Background working with diverse OS platforms is a plus       

Atleast 5 years of background experience as a systems administrator, network

engineer or database administrator in a large and diverse corporate environment

Demonstrated ability to gather technical requirements, and facilitate the design and implementation of the supporting infrastructure for new or expanded systems in a corporate environment    

DemonstratedB ability to lead a team of experienced technicians and senior systems engineers across

the globe in pursuit of defined goals and objectives        

Knowledge of system flows, engineering documentation, tools and architecture concepts

Knowledge of networking protocols, LAN/WAN routing and optimization, and firewall technologies

Excellent customer service skills required

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, time management

Excellent verbal and written communication skills The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers,and subject matter experts

 

Role Scope / Deliverables:

Coordinate technical resources to determine solution on how to remediate Win 2000-2003

servers. 

Hands on resource management to ensure the right resources are involved Gather and document technical infrastructure requirements        

Bridge the technical gap between our internal business partners, application developers and application support staff and our infrastructure operations and engineering teams       

Provide technical input to project work break-down structures including but not limited to tasks, predecessors, level of effort, resources and duration         

Facilitate Technical Reviews In concert with the Advanced Computing and Employee Experience teams, ensure solutions are complying with Thermo Fisher’s infrastructure vision
